NASCAR.com Monster Energy NASCAR Cup Series driver pages: Bios, statistics, race results videos, news, photo galleries, car, team, shop, date of birth. There are also few major changes on the drivers’ grid for the 2018 Cup Series season. The most important is that Dale Earnhardt Jr., the 15-time most popular driver in a series, retired from full-time racing. Alex Bowman will replace him in the #88 Hendrick Motorsports’ Chevrolet. Voting for most popular driver -- which is an award solely based on fan votes and presented by Hooters -- opened Sept. 5 and concluded Nov. 26, with fans able to vote for their favorite driver once per day. Earlier this month, NASCAR released the top 10 vote-getters to that point, with Elliott and teammate Jimmie Johnson making the list.
The field is set for the first Monster Energy NASCAR Cup Series race of the 2018 season, the 75-lap exhibition race at Daytona International Speedway known as 'The Clash.'
The Advance Auto Parts Clash is part of a Sunday, Feb. 11 season-opening doubleheader, which kicks off with pole qualifying for the 60th annual Daytona 500 (Noon ET, Fox).
Featuring an elite field of drivers, The Clash (3 p.m. ET, Fox Sports 1) will be broken up into two stages with a competition caution at lap 25 separating the segments. The exclusive lineup is limited to drivers who were 2017 Coors Light Pole Award winners, former Clash race winners, former Daytona 500 pole winners who competed full-time in 2017 and drivers who qualified for the 2017 Monster Energy NASCAR Cup Series Playoffs.

It comes down to this — one race for all the marbles. A chance for drivers to add to their legacies or create a new one.
The Monster Energy NASCAR Cup Series will crown its 2018 champion on Sunday in the Ford EcoBoost 400 at Homestead Miami Speedway (2:30 p.m. ET, NBC).
Four drivers will race for the title — against each other and a full field of cars. Kyle Busch (Toyota), Kevin Harvick (Ford), Martin Truex Jr. (Toyota) and Joey Logano (Ford) come to Homestead after navigating 26 regular-season races and nine in the playoffs and represent the four best drivers this season.
There are no flukes here, no upsets. These drivers rank as the season’s top four in average finish, laps led and top-five finishes. And they have all been here before. Three of the four have won a title, and the other just missed.
